An uncontested divorce is a divorce where you have already agreed on common issues such as children or spousal support, and just need your divorce processed with the court. Once you complete your separation agreement and only need to finalize the divorce itself, you are ready for an uncontested divorce.
When you decide to get an uncontested divorce, you will physically visit the court administrative staff to file your documents but will not need to “go to court” and speak with a judge.
